The Clinical Research Training Program (CRTP) at Mayo Clinic trains future investigators in clinical research methods. Clinician investigators will learn to translate biological and technological discoveries into improved patient care … preventing diseases, improving the rate and accuracy of diagnoses, and developing and delivering better treatments to improve quality of life.
Translation of basic biomedical discoveries depends critically upon the availablility of a highly skilled clinical research workforce. The CRTP provides a carefully planned series of courses in clinical research methods that complement mentor-based training in the research environment. Graduates will be prepared to participate in and lead research teams in conducting effective patient-oriented research.
The program is designed to allow professionals from a variety of disciplines to customize a training program to meet their clinical research career goals. Participation in CRTP is limited to postdoctoral Mayo Clinic staff and trainees.
