Modern biomedical research requires teamwork and highly sophisticated expensive technologies. Therefore, collaboration and shared resources are central to Mayo Clinic's extensive research activities. To support the needs of researchers and students, Mayo has several research core facilities with the most modern instrumentation. Each core facility is supervised by research faculty and staffed by highly skilled technical experts. You are encouraged to use these resources as your research dictates, from occasionally submitting samples for analysis to full training in the instrumentation. Individual laboratories also routinely share instruments and technical expertise.
