Laboratory rotations
Setting up a rotation in an Arizona laboratory is straightforward. First, the student should contact the potential faculty mentor and confirm that there is a mutual interest in a rotation experience. Once the student and mentor have agreed on dates for the rotation, the student should notify Rose Marie M. Taylor at Mayo Graduate School in Rochester, Minn., to initiate paperwork for travel and course work.
The student or mentor should also contact the campus director in Arizona to confirm rotation plans and facilitate local planning for housing, transportation and other logistical details. The campus director is available at any time for consultation with the student about possible mentors and practical considerations for temporarily transferring to Arizona.
Students performing a laboratory rotation in Arizona will be provided with a round-trip airline ticket from Rochester, a comfortably furnished apartment in Scottsdale and a rental car to accommodate local transportation during the rotation. Rotating students are included in all department activities.
