Mayo Clinic Libraries is dedicated to meeting the information needs of students in Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
Students at all Mayo Clinic campuses have access to Mayo's extensive collection of traditional journals and books, totaling around 400,000 archival volumes, as well as approximately 4,300 electronic journals and more than 1,800 electronic textbooks and databases. The Mayo Digital Library is available at any time from over 50,000 institutional workstations at all Mayo sites.
Additional services include research assistance, electronic document delivery and interlibrary loans. Mayo Clinic's professional bookstore offers a discount to students as well as delivery to your campus location.
Arizona campus libraries
Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, offers three libraries for student use: the Clinic Library, the Edmond Research Library and the Mayo Clinic Hospital Library.
The collections in the Clinic Library focus on clinical medicine and administrative management and include extensive audiovisual materials. The Edmond Research Library features research on molecular and cellular biology, cardiovascular disease, lung disease, hematological malignancies, molecular neuroscience, molecular genetics, cancer, allergies, and asthma.
The Mayo Clinic Hospital Library collections center on clinical medicine and surgery, including liver, kidney and bone marrow transplant surgery.
Florida campus library
Students at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, use the Winn-Dixie Foundation Medical Library, which offers 24/7 key card access and an iPad loan program, among other services.
Collections in the Winn-Dixie Foundation Medical Library focus on neuroscience and cancer research, clinical medicine, nursing, and administrative management.
Minnesota campus libraries
The Venables Health Sciences Library at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota, exclusively supports students and faculty of Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.
Along with more traditional text, digital and audiovisual resources, the Venables Library includes a unique collection of anatomical models, including two sets of bones (in bone boxes), a skeleton and individual models of various anatomical features.
There are four additional libraries available for student use at the Rochester campus of Mayo Clinic. Collections cover the entirety of medicine and all subspecialties, research and methodological literature, nursing and allied health literature, and health administration and management literature. The campus also houses historical collections, multiple patient libraries and education centers, and the Mayo Clinic professional bookstore.
