The Health Information Internship helps prepare individuals for professional practice in health information technology (HIT). The curriculum combines general education and professional courses, including lecture, laboratory and clinical education components established by your college or university. The curriculum currently offered at Mayo Clinic is coding-focused.
Students gain clinical experience in Patient Financial Services at Mayo Clinic. During your clinical rotations, you work under the supervision of qualified and credentialed Coding and Patient Financial Services professionals.
