There is one position available on a competitive basis each year in the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship.
How to apply
You must apply through SF Match, a third-party application service.
The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by Sept. 15 of the year preceding the program start date. The academic year begins in early July.
- To apply to the program, complete the fellowship match registration on the SF Match website.
- Complete the SF Match application.
In addition to the standard application materials required by SF Match, all applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are conducted approximately eight months in advance of the appointment.
During the interview, the applicant has an opportunity to meet residents and postgraduate fellows, the Mayo faculty physicians of the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Service, and other staff members who are intimately involved in the training of the postgraduate pediatric fellow.
