The one-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, offers advanced training in:
- Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, focusing on endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Noncredentialing exposure to other advanced techniques, such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and deep enteroscopy
This fellowship is intended for physicians who are planning a career in gastroenterology as an investigative and consultative therapeutic endoscopist.
This training program is an unaccredited one-year fellowship. At this time, accreditation does not exist for this variety of advanced training.
The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship accepted its first fellow in 2011. It is anticipated that one fellow will complete training in the program each year.
