The Clinical Medical Genetics Residency is open to physicians who have successfully completed at least 2 years of training in an ACGME-accredited residency program in a recognized specialty (such as Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB-GYN, etc.) as well as experience seeing patients. International medical school graduates may petition the ABMG to have their residency training (which may have been overseas) approved. All international applicants must be ECFMG-certified, and must have passed the USMLE, steps 1-3.
