Positions

One position is available each year in the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.

How to apply

The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by Oct. 15 of the year preceding the program start date. The academic year begins in July.

You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for fellowship applicants.

  1. Visit the ERAS for fellowship applicants website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials. The dean's letter can be uploaded in ERAS as the MSPE and does not need to be sent directly to the program coordinator.

    In addition to what is listed on the application materials website, this fellowship also requires:

    • A letter from your program director, which can be uploaded in ERAS as the fourth letter of recommendation
    • USMLE or COMLEX scores, which also can be uploaded in ERAS
  2. Appointments are made through the Primary Care Sports Medicine Match, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). You must register for the match in addition to applying through ERAS.
  3. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are conducted between October and December each year.
