There are two positions available on a competitive basis each year in the Pain Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.
How to apply
You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for Fellowship Applicants.
The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by May 31 of the year preceding the program start date. The academic year begins in July.
To apply to the program, visit the ERAS Fellowships website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.
In addition, this fellowship requires that you submit these other supporting materials with your online application:
- Copies of American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) In-Training Examination scores
- Copies of Self-Assessment Examination (SAE) summaries for physical medicine and rehabilitation applicants
- Appointments are made through the Anesthesiology Fellowship Match, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Specialties Matching Service. All candidates must register through the Specialties Matching Service after submitting an application through ERAS. The match opens in June 2016, with match day in October 2016.
- Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews will be conducted Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, for the 2017 fellowship.
