Nominations

The Nominating Committee of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association (MCAA) is requesting nominations for its board of directors. This 34-member board, which has international representation from various medical specialties and geographic locations, is responsible for the MCAA's strategic direction and activities.

The following criteria are considered when appointing members to the board of directors:

  • Medical and surgical specialty representation
  • Geographic location
  • Leadership roles in the field of medicine
  • Commitment to representing alumni interests
  • Interest in serving alumni
  • Interest in promoting Mayo Clinic and the MCAA
  • Active membership in the MCAA

Board of directors members serve six-year terms and attend annual board meetings, which are generally held in late September. In years when there is an MCAA biennial meeting, the board meets in conjunction with that meeting; in years when there is not, the board meets in conjunction with The Doctors Mayo Society meeting.
