Synopsis: In 1988, Dan Jansen's sister died, on the same day as he was to compete for the Olympic Gold in speed skating at Calgary. He fell twice. After a disappointing performance in 1992, he returns to compete in the 1994 Olympics. He fails again in his specialty the 500 meters, yet pulls himself together and wins the 1000 meters, his weakest event.
