Mayo Clinic regularly hosts lectures from nationally and internationally renowned leaders focusing on diversity, culture & medicine, world peace and spirituality.  Recent presenters included Hugh Price, the Dalai Lama, Anne Fadiman, Gen. Clara Adams-Ender and Gen. Colin Powell.

Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine, is another Mayo group that sponsors and incorporates cultural events into the daily lives of patients, employees, and community members. The Center integrates the arts, history, and ethics in the medical environment to support the Mayo ideal that the needs of the patient come first. All programs are made possible by the generous donations of grateful benefactors. Programs include musical performances, visual art exhibits, theatre and dance events, workshops, lectures, films and bedside arts programs for hospitalized patients.
