Mayo Clinic is a part of the larger community. As a major employer and corporate citizen, we understand our responsibility to support community efforts that improve the lives of our populations. Many of our students, staff, and clinicians want to find individual ways to give back to the community. Below are some of the programs that Mayo has been involved with either through financial support or volunteer commitment.

- Mayo Outreach to Students and Teachers (MOST) Program
MOST is a community youth health and wellness outreach program sponsored by Mayo Clinic and conducted by staff and student volunteers. It provides an opportunity to promote health and prevent disease by speaking directly to children and young people throughout the communities we serve. Through programs like MOST, we are best able to empower and enrich the lives of our youth.

The Sulzbacher Center Health Services are designed as part of a community wide "Safety Net" of health care. As part of this system for over ten years, the Center has evolved into a Federally Qualified Health Care Facility - one of two in Duval County. The Center's dental clinic is the only full-time adult indigent dental service in the area.

Community Outreach
- Mayo Clinic provides leadership to the Diversity Leadership Alliance in Arizona, a community collaborative dedicated to building, empowering and sustaining a community.
- Through its Diversity Interest Groups in Arizona, Mayo Clinic provides health care and other outreach services, financial contributions and volunteers for various community projects.
Health Care Outreach
- Mayo Clinic provided board leadership, volunteers and financial contributions to the Arizona Transplant House through fundraisers, direct contributions and a 5K run/walk fitness camp.
- Mayo Clinic physician and nursing staff in Arizona volunteer at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul health clinic, which serves homeless and disadvantaged populations.
- Dermatology residents and staff provide free care to patients of the Las Fuentes Free Clinic in Guadelupe, AZ.
Hunger Outreach
- Mayo Clinic employees in Arizona donated hundreds of pounds of food to the Joshua Tree Food Shelter, a food bank for HIV and AIDS patients.
- The families that reside at Ronald McDonald House Are fed quarterly by employee's of Mayo Clinic
- The African Descendant Interest Group feeds the men residing at the Mesa Men’s Shelter, a program to restore homeless men to self sufficiency.
- Mayo Clinic Arizona also supports food banks and meal programs for the homeless and underserved through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
