The various locations of the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) are complemented by a dedicated research pharmacy and nutrition research unit.

Research Pharmacy

Pharmacy Research Services provides oversight and direction for use of investigational medications in the CRU and throughout the clinic facilities in Rochester, Minn. The research pharmacies promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, safe conduct of human research with protocols involving investigational drugs, and expert consultation to investigators.

Nutrition Research Unit

This unit, which includes a staff of five research dieticians and a metabolic kitchen operated by six dietary assistants, can plan precise diets and analyze the nutritional intakes of research participants.
