Course Registration
While in the Postdoctoral Master's Degree Program, you will complete all of your course work through Mayo Graduate School. As such, you must register for courses through Mayo Graduate School.
Mayo Graduate School offers a Self-Service Banner Web-based system that gives students a more robust search for courses by day, time and instructor. The system allows active and current students online, real-time registration. Note that many course numbers have changed. The Mayo Graduate School courses page (must be logged in to the Mayo network) lists courses with old and new identifiers.
To assist you with course planning, Mayo Graduate School offers a listing of the upcoming quarter's courses and section numbers (which you must include on your registration form), as well as a complete listing of all its courses. The Mayo Graduate School intranet site (must be logged in to the Mayo network) contains these listings. Additionally, the CTSA maintains an online listing of Mayo Graduate School's clinical and translational science courses (CTSC prefix) for the current and next quarter.
Required course work for the Postdoctoral Master's Degree Program begins each year in July or January, with Mayo Graduate School course registration opening one month before the start of the quarter.
Frequently asked questions
How do I register?
If you are currently in a Mayo Graduate School degree program or have previously completed a course for credit in Mayo Graduate School as a nondegree candidate, register online using the new Self-Service Banner System.
A user guide and PDF with screenshots (must be logged in to the Mayo network for both) are available to assist with Self-Service Banner registration.
What if this is my first time registering for a Mayo Graduate School course?
Individuals who do not have an appointment at Mayo Clinic will not have access to Self-Service Banner. A paper registration form must be submitted to the Registrar's Office (Siebens Building, Fifth Floor) or faxed to 507-266-5298. Do not submit an incomplete form — required signatures must be obtained before submission or your form will be returned. View course schedule (must be logged in to the Mayo network).

Register using the Course Registration for Employees Not Enrolled in a Degree Program form.
How do I register if I hold a current appointment at Mayo, such as in Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, but am not in a Mayo Graduate School degree program?
