Why evaluate?
By closely monitoring students' progress, each CTSA educational program can better analyze the needs of students and the overall program, assist students when challenges are identified, and adjust the program when needed.
What's evaluated?
All students registered in CTSA educational programs are evaluated with regard to their overall progress, GPA and grades in individual courses. Also evaluated are applicant pools, admitted students, and students who withdraw or are dismissed.
How's the data analyzed?
Simple descriptive analysis of quantitative data about students' progress and success is done to determine scope, volume or quantity, while all qualitative data is analyzed to explore themes and patterns.
How are results used?
Results are primarily used by each program's management team to guide decision making regarding individual students.
