Director's Message
Medical practice is continually advancing to better meet the needs of patients. As we create the medicine of tomorrow, clinical and translational research — turning laboratory findings into therapies, procedures, tools and tactics that improve the health of our patients and communities — is playing an increasingly important role.
Whether you're a scientist looking to ensure that your research program has an impact on people's lives, a clinician searching for answers to the clinical problems facing your patients, an individual seeking continuing education options, or a person new to clinical and translational research concepts, Center for Translational Science Activities (CTSA) Education Resources has something for you.
Our clinical research training programs offer creative approaches for Mayo staff and trainees. If you pursue a predoctoral or postdoctoral program, we'll work with you to tailor its course work to your unique needs and interests. Then, you'll apply those newly learned clinical research methods to real-world research under the mentorship of an experienced Mayo investigator of your choosing.
Doctors, nurses and allied health staff can gain valuable professional development education in the classroom or online. For high school graduates, we have an entry-level clinical research coordination program that leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree. Those with a college degree can pursue our diploma in clinical research coordination.
The exceptional research environment at Mayo Clinic enables you to carry out fundamental clinical and translational research in literally any area of concentration. We encourage you to explore how training in clinical and translational research can enhance your career.
