Education Resources Executive Committee
The Center for Translational Science Activities (CTSA) Education Resources Executive Committee oversees all aspects of the CTSA's clinical and translational research education and career development components at Mayo Clinic.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic planning for all CTSA clinical and translational research education programs, including career development programs, training programs and career transition awards
- Interacting with external collaborators and exploring new collaboration opportunities
- Interacting with other national clinical and translational education and career development programs, including the National Institutes of Health Roadmap CTSA programs
- Preparing and overseeing CTSA and other grant submissions, renewals and progress reports
- Developing and overseeing the CTSA education and career development budget, including space and equipment needs
- Overseeing interactions within the CTSA education programs and crosscutting functions to ensure the appropriate balance needed to achieve strategic priorities
- Overseeing the activities of the other CTSA Education Resources programs and committees
The committee meets every Thursday afternoon and reports to the CTSA Executive Committee and the CTSA director. Its chairperson also sits on the CTSA Executive Committee. The committee interacts with and reports to the five schools of the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, (relative to the needs of the program that is affiliated with that school) and to the Mayo Clinic Education Committee.
