Data management

• Guidelines for Responsible Data Management in Scientific Research — funded by the Office of Research Integrity, Department of Health and Human Services
• REDCap Consortium — composed of 441 active institutional partners from Clinical and Translational Science Award institutions, Research Centers in Minority Institutions and other institutions in 49 countries, this consortium supports REDCap, a secure Web application designed exclusively to support data capture for research studies

Statistics and study design

• Professional development courses — the Center for Translational Science Activities (CTSA) at Mayo Clinic offers professional development courses on such topics as research proposals and statistics. Online classes are open to all.

• REDCap data management solutions — includes two Web-based, customizable data management programs for research projects: a case report form and a survey collection form
• Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Resource — offers an "open door" to investigators seeking guidance and advice on general biostatistical, epidemiological and research design considerations
• Statistics for Nonstatisticians — a primer on statistics (must be logged in to the Mayo network)
