These sites are publicly available repositories with a wide variety of data:
- National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology. This website is hosted by the National Library of Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health. The Health Services Research Information Central portion of the website serves as a gateway to databases, surveys, tools and reports about health care services. Another tool is the Health Services and Sciences Research Resources search engine.
- National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research. The Catalogue of Surveillance Systems Web tool provides a catalog of existing surveillance systems that contain data relevant to childhood obesity research.
- Health System Measurement Project. Developed by the Department of Health and Human Services, the Health System Measurement Project brings together trend information on approximately 50 key health system-related measures across 10 topical areas, including access to care, cost and affordability, prevention, and health information technology.
- Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems. Supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the aim of the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems is to support and promote the assessment of consumers' experiences with health care. It provides information for health care consumers, purchasers, health plans, providers and policymakers.
