Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate advanced techniques in laparoscopic and robotic surgery
  • Demonstrate minimally invasive techniques for the management of urinary incontinence
  • Identify surgical complications of incontinence and prolapse surgery
  • Demonstrate ureteral dissection and identify minimally invasive management options for ureteral repair
  • Explain the use of botulinum toxin injections to manage bladder overactivity
  • Integrate additional anatomic detail into management of pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Explain the use of and demonstrate how sacral nerve stimulation is used to provide management of fecal incontinence
  • Identify evidence-based research on synthetic and nonsynthetic materials used in the operative management of pelvic floor prolapse
  • Demonstrate advanced vaginal surgery techniques
