Course Description
Join us at the beautiful Mauna Lani Resort & Bungalows on the Big Island of Hawaii for the 5th Mayo Clinic International Spine Symposium, being held January 31 – February 4, 2010. This annual five day CME event features the latest in new treatment strategies and techniques for orthopedists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, primary care providers and other professionals involved in treating patients with spinal disorders. Our 2010 program content will focus on: Minimally Invasive Surgery, Motion Preservation Surgery, Non-Operative Spine Care, Value (Quality/Cost), and Tumor.

We will continue several very effective and popular programming features:

  • Evidence-based reviews.
  • Point/counterpoint debates on key controversial areas.
  • Innovative learning formats.
  • Extensive attendee/faculty interaction through panel discussions, case consultation and small breakfast sessions.
  • Spinal Curve Ball, an “unknown” case challenge presented daily to broaden awareness of unusual spinal conditions.
  • Accepted abstracts will be presented as a continuous E-poster session.
  • An Audience Response System (ARS) will be used extensively throughout the meeting for impromptu comment and evaluation.
  • Attendees will provide cases for review and consultation.
