Abstracts
Overview: As part of the conference on Systems Engineering & Operations Research in Health Care, a poster session for presentation of original research dedicated to the field of health systems engineering and operations research applied to health care will be held. Any projects that pertain to the training and practice of Systems Engineering & Operations Research are welcome. They may include guidelines, randomized trials, outcome studies, practice innovations, or descriptive analyses. Posters will be chosen from all abstracts received by the August 13, 2008 submission deadline.
Meeting registration is required for poster presentation. At least one author is expected to be present during the poster session.
Abstract Eligibility: Original abstracts that either have or have not been presented at other meetings will be considered. Abstracts are eligible if they have been published; abstracts based upon full papers that have been published are also eligible.
Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the best poster in each category. Judging and award presentation will be done during the conference.
Number of Entries: A participant may be the primary author on no more than two abstracts; however, he or she may be a contributing author on any number of abstracts.
Deadline: Abstract submission deadline is closed.

Notification of Results: All primary authors will be notified by August 15, 2008, if their submission has been selected for the poster session, and details regarding poster set-up will follow. Instructions for preparing your poster will be included with this notice.
Submission: Abstracts must be submitted via email to seor@mayo.edu. Refer to the Guidelines for Abstract Submission (link) for instructions in preparing your abstract. To facilitate abstract submission, we recommend downloading and using the Poster Abstract Submission Form MS-Word template (see link below) for your submission.

Printing of Abstracts: Abstracts chosen for presentation will be printed in the course syllabus. No editing will be done prior to the printing; however, formatting changes may be required.
