Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Review alternative imaging modalities for breast cancer screening
• Identify audit performance metrics in breast imaging and compare with national benchmarks
• Review important patient safety issues in breast imaging and how to implement policies and procedures to help avoid them
• Minimize legal risk associated with a palpable breast abnormality and negative breast imaging
• Review pathologic diagnoses from breast needle biopsies and explain their effect on follow up recommendations
