Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the MR imaging appearance of commonly encountered hepatic, pancreatic and renal lesions.
  • Identify the sonographic features of endometriomas, dermoids, hydrosalpinges, peritoneal inclusion cysts and physiologic cysts.
  • Recognize the normal variants of the uterus that can be misinterpreted as pathology.
  • Recognize current applications of tomosynthesis, molecular breast imaging, BI-RADS in MR imaging.
  • Review the use of I-125 seeds for breast localization.
  • Review radiologic findings in the assessment of the male breast.
  • Review coronary anatomy on CT, including standardized reporting, normal variants, and life-threatening anomalies.
  • Recognize the limitations of MR imaging of bone marrow.
  • State the value of PET imaging for staging and restaging of primary osseous and soft tissue tumors.
  • Review the current application of nuclear medicine in the diagnosis of infection.
  • Identify the MR arthroscopy correlation of common knee and shoulder abnormalities.
