Travel

Rochester, Minn., is a friendly city that greets thousands of visitors from around the world each year. The city is serviced by a modern international airport with multiple flights daily via American or Delta Airlines. Access to and from the airport is provided by taxi, shuttle service and rental car. The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.

Rochester Direct shuttle provides transportation between the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport (MSP) and several Rochester locations. Reservations are available online or by calling 800-280-9270 (toll-free).

Note to travelers: Several cities in the United States are named Rochester. When you make airline reservations and check your baggage, please be sure that your destination is Rochester, Minnesota (RST) and that your baggage has been properly tagged.

Lodging Accommodations

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests with a special course rate of $139 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The DoubleTree is located in downtown Rochester near a variety of excellent shopping and dining options, local businesses, the University of Minnesota Rochester campus and the Mayo Civic Center. Reservations can be made by phone at 507-281-8000.

In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of Aug. 25, 2013, whichever comes first. Reservations are taken following this date based on space and rate availability.

Please identify yourself as a participant of the Mayo Clinic Biological Frontiers of Addiction course when making your reservation.
