Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Identify common co-occurring psychiatric disorders in alcoholic patients as well as standard assessment approaches and treatment strategies
  • Describe the four basic principles for consideration in medical ethics and apply those principles to specific cases arising in clinical practice with addicted patients
  • Identify diverse populations in addiction treatment settings and characterize potential issues for consideration in developing a personalized plan to foster recovery needs
