Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Describe management strategies for depression in patients with comorbid medical illnesses
- Outline strategies for identification and treatment of anxiety disorders in patients with comorbid medical illnesses
- Identify evidence-based pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatments for health anxiety
- Describe strategies and evidence-based management referral options for patients with delirium and behavioral disturbances associated with dementia
- Describe evidence-based management strategies for patients who have psychophysiological disorders (e.g., dizziness, functional gastrointestinal disorders, functional movement disorders)
- Identify elements of clinical decision-making related to management of mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period
