The Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery is an international leader in not only patient management but also education and training. Mayo Clinic offers a broad range of continuing medical education offerings focused on orthopedic surgery. Orthopedic surgery courses feature renowned guests and Mayo Clinic faculty, using didactic lectures that are supplemented with video clips, live surgical cases, case discussions, simulations, panel discussions and hands-on workshops. Several courses include laboratory experience using human and animal cadaver specimens and videotaped surgery clips and cadaveric surgical dissection to demonstrate complicated surgical procedures.
