Care of patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) has become increasingly complex as new drugs have been approved for the disease with limited knowledge of their long-term risks and benefits. This course summarizes the current therapies and offers guidance on how to use them. This course also provides evidence and strategies regarding a multidisciplinary team approach.
This course updates the entire multidisciplinary team, including specialists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and social workers, who have an interest in MS multidisciplinary care.
Presentations focus on practical clinical management of MS and MS variants such as neuromyelitis optica; and include the latest clinical and laboratory research. Case vignettes illustrate evidence-based, practical approaches to multidisciplinary MS care. There is ample opportunity for interaction with course faculty.
