Course Details & Highlights
This program is designed for surgeons as well as non-operative clinicians with a special interest in the treatment of spinal disorders.
The latest advances in the field will be presented through didactic lectures, panel discussions, debates and case presentations.
An audience response system and lively discussion will make the symposium interactive. Maintenance of Certification facilitated self assessment exams in orthopedics and neurosurgery are offered as concurrent precourse sessions.
This program focuses on current health quality measures and minimally invasive surgical techniques. In keeping with tradition, the 2012 symposium features:
- Evidence-based reviews
- Point/counterpoint debates on key controversial areas
- Innovative learning formats
- Extensive attendee/faculty interaction through panel discussions, case consultation and small breakfast sessions
- Spinal Curve Ball, an “unknown” case challenge presented daily to broaden awareness of unusual spinal conditions
- Accepted abstracts will be presented as a continuous e-poster session
- An Audience Response System (ARS) used extensively throughout the meeting for impromptu comment and evaluation
- Attendee cases for review and consultation
