Campus Highlights
Opened in 1986, Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., was the first extension of Mayo Clinic beyond Rochester, Minn. The clinic provides medical diagnosis, treatment and surgery using a team of specialists working together. Programs in medical education and research support patient care activities.

More than 300 physicians in over 50 specialties and subspecialties and approximately 4,360 allied health employees are currently on staff. Since the practice was established, more than 610,000 patients have received care.

Patients
There have been 610,000 patient registrations since the clinic opened in 1986. About 55 percent of patients come from Jacksonville and northeast Florida, 25 percent from the rest of Florida, 18 percent from the other 49 states and 2 percent from other countries.

Facilities

  • The eight-story Davis Building provides state-of-the-art clinical practice space and is the largest facility on the Jacksonville campus. The Bundy Café & Atrium and Mayo Pharmacy are located on the main floor. Other patient facilities include the Mayo Building and the Cannaday Building, which houses the new gift shop. All three buildings are connected by an enclosed walkway and linked to The Inn at Mayo Clinic, a 78-suite hotel. The 146-room Courtyard by Marriott is located near the clinic's main entrance.
  • Mayo Clinic Hospital is a 214 - bed facility on the Jacksonville campus
  • The Birdsall Medical Research Building has 10 laboratories that allow scientists to investigate neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The Griffin Cancer Research Building was completed in 2001 and is the first Mayo building devoted primarily to cancer research.
  • Construction is under way for an addition to the two-story Stabile Building. The new four-story administration facility will be linked to the current structure.
