Clinical Reviews and Primary Care Update is a comprehensive
program for the family physician, general internist, physician assistant,
nurse practitioner, and registered nurse. The course consists of lectures,
discussions, and workshops on problems of general interest in various
areas of medicine, surgery and pediatrics. Medical staff of Mayo Clinic
in Jacksonville, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Nemours
Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, will provide reviews and updates
in the areas of cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology,
geriatrics, infectious diseases, internal medicine, neurology, women’s
health, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, and sports medicine.

Current Topics in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging
June 22 - 27, 2008
This course will provide radiologists, cardiologists, vascular and cardiovascular surgeons and other health care providers a state-of-the art review of current and emerging trends in cardiovascular imaging.
If you're hoping to learn more about the recent explosion in noninvasive cardiovascular imaging and how you can take advantage of the latest technological advances in CT and MRI, this course is for you. The intensive six-day curriculum blends didactic lectures by internationally-renowned faculty, case presentations by trained experts, technologist education, roundtable discussion open to all participants, and one-on-one experience with workstation from multiple vendors to deliver a state-of-the-art review of cardiac and vascular CT and MRI. Partial program registration is available for attendees wishing to focus on a particular aspect of cardiovascular imaging. The program includes 50 mentored cardiac CT cases and 50 mentored cardiac MR cases, all of which will be made available to attendees for hands-on post processing to facilitate head-to-head user comparison of multiple different workstations. In between lectures, relax and unwind at one of Southern California's premier luxury spa resorts or play golf at Torrey Pines, site of the 2008 Buick Invitational and the 2008 US Open golf tournament.

Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis: Acquired Demyelinating Disorders in Children and Adolescents
June 27 - 28, 2008
This course is intended for primary care providers and specialists who see children and adolescents when they develop acute neurologic dysfunction. These events may be due to acquired demyelinating lesions of the Central Nervous System (CNS). This course will make attendees familiar with clinical findings which should suggest the possibility of acquired CNS demyelination. Typical imaging findings, laboratory diagnostic studies and protocols to differentiate from other neurologic syndromes will be discussed. Treatment of acute episodes and long term disease modifying therapies will be considered. Cognitive impact and social implications for children with acquired CNS demyelinating disorders and their families will be reviewed. Current and future research trends will be presented.
This multidisciplinary course will allow medical professionals and families an opportunity to network. Families of children with MS and children with MS are invited to attend this meeting and encouraged to attend special break- out sessions as noted in the program schedule.
