Cardiology Updates in Sedona: A Weekend Review

There is explosive growth in diagnosis and treatment modalities taking place in the field of cardiovascular disease. This is creating an exciting, but challenging situation for teams taking care of patients with cardiovascular disease. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the needed information distilled in a manner that can be applied to clinical practice. The scope of the program is broad and will cover a wide spectrum of diseases ranging from ischemic heart disease to cardiovascular health.

Mayo Clinic's 19th Annual Hematology/Oncology Reviews
July 30 - August 1, 2009
Mayo Clinic Hematology/Oncology Reviews is a comprehensive postgraduate course designed to provide the busy practicing hematologist/oncologist with practical new developments. Didactic presentations will be case-based. Focused luncheon sessions encourage interaction with the faculty and attendees are encouraged to bring their most challenging cases for discussion. Attendees will leave with up-to-date, practical information which will have immediate clinical application. Mayo Clinic 2009 EUS Course
July 30 - August 1, 2009
This course is designed to provide endsonographers, gastroenterologists, and other health care providers at all levels of experience a comprehensive multidisciplinary review of endoscopic ultrasound. Nationally renowned experts from varying fields, including Gastroenterology, Pancreatology, Hepatology, Surgery (thoracic, abdominal, colorectal), Oncology, Pulmonology, Radiology and Endosonography, will discuss the impact and role of EUS in their practice. A moderator will oversee live case demonstrations and use this opportunity for lively exchange between the faculty and course particpants. A video forum and "EUS Jeopardy Quiz" will be presented with round table discussion. Attendees will also have the opportunity for an "in-The-Room" experience that will facilitate interaciton with the faculty and enhance the overall edeucational experience. Finally, during a hands-on animal lab, the faculty will work closely with attendees to emphasize technical aspects of performing EUS and demonstrate the use of standard equipment and new devices
