Mayo Clinic's 19th Annual Hematology/Oncology Reviews

Mayo Clinic Hematology/Oncology Reviews is a comprehensive postgraduate course designed to provide the busy practicing hematologist/oncologist with practical new developments. Didactic presentations will be case-based. Focused luncheon sessions encourage interaction with the faculty and attendees are encouraged to bring their most challenging cases for discussion. Attendees will leave with up-to-date, practical information which will have immediate clinical application. Pulmonary Hypertension Update 2009

This one day course is designed to improve and update the knowledge of the evaluation and management of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It will enable the clinician to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the best treatment option for the patient. In addition, the clinician will understand and appreciate for the role of lung transplantation in the management of PAH so that patients can be appropriately counseled. Recommendations on appropriate referrals to PAH and Transplant Centers will be discussed. Case studies will be emphasized to illustrate practice principles.

This course will provide attendees with an update across all major areas of clinical interest in stroke and vascular neurology. Lectures will cover the latest in management of acute ischemic stroke and brain hemorrhage, as well as asymptomatic vascular lesions including arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, cerebral aneurysms, and carotid stenosis. Endoscopy Live 2009

This three day course features lectures with national and international experts, five hours of live endoscopies, and a hands-on workshop to practice skills designed to improve performance of advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as advanced imaging methods, EMR, and double balloon enteroscopy.
