Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Cite relevant recent literature as pertains to inpatient care
- Review the management of inpatients on dialysis
- Select appropriate thrombophilia studies for patients with venous thromboembolism
- Summarize current, evidence-based approaches to common inpatient conditions
- Recognize common dermatologic findings of the hospitalized patient
- Identify potentially inappropriate medications in hospitalized elderly patients
- Describe the care of patients pre- and post-liver transplant
- Manage inpatients with pulmonary hypertension more effectively
- Review the care of the hospitalized patient with cirrhosis
- Determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients with endocarditis
