Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Advocate the vital role NP/PAs play in providing care for hospitalized patients.
  • Review recent hot topics in the Hospital Medicine literature.
  • Evaluate hospitalized patients with delirium.
  • Recognize the effect dialysis plays on drug dosing.
  • Evaluate transplant or immunosuppressed patients with infection.
  • Recognize common hematologic disorders affecting hospitalized patients.
  • Formulate perioperative plans for medically complex patients undergoing surgery.
