COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Describe and discuss current challenges facing the practice of malignant hematology, and identify the evolving team-based model of care devloping in the USA.
- Describe and discuss opportunities for optimal supportive care, and integration of palliative care into the care of those hematologic malagnancies including optimal use of supportive medications, erythroid stimulating agents, and challenging case scenarios.
- Discuss the latest targeted and novel therapies being developed for the hematologic malignancies.
- Have a better understanding of new options for the diagnosis and management of complex problems with anemia and thrombocytopenia.
