Mayo Clinic 2009 EUS Course
July 30 - August 1, 2009

This course is designed to provide endsonographers, gastroenterologists, and other health care providers at all levels of experience a comprehensive multidisciplinary review of endoscopic ultrasound. Nationally renowned experts from varying fields, including Gastroenterology, Pancreatology, Hepatology, Surgery (thoracic, abdominal, colorectal), Oncology, Pulmonology, Radiology and Endosonography, will discuss the impact and role of EUS in their practice. A moderator will oversee live case demonstrations and use this opportunity for lively exchange between the faculty and course particpants. A video forum and "EUS Jeopardy Quiz" will be presented with round table discussion. Attendees will also have the opportunity for an "in-The-Room" experience that will facilitate interaciton with the faculty and enhance the overall edeucational experience. Finally, during a hands-on animal lab, the faculty will work closely with attendees to emphasize technical aspects of performing EUS and demonstrate the use of standard equipment and new devices

ERCP A-to-Z 2009: A Live-Case Course

Endoscopy Live 2009
October 8 - 10, 2009

This three day course features lectures with national and international experts, five hours of live endoscopies, and a hands-on workshop to practice skills designed to improve performance of advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as advanced imaging methods, EMR, and double balloon enteroscopy. Attendees will be able to evaluate different approached to detection and therapy of dysplasia in Barrett's esophagus and ulcerative colitis, set up a program for quality improvement and monitoring, and describe future trends in endoscopic practice and technology.

State-of-the-Art Small Bowel Imaging: Review and Hands-On Tutorial
October 9 - 11, 2009

State-of-the-Art Small Bowel Imaging: Review and Hands-on Tutorial is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of CTand MR techniques for the evaluation of small bowel disorders. World leaders in small bowel imaging will present the clinical rationale for and benefits of imaging, exam techniques and CT/MR imaging findings for a variety of small bowel disorders. State-of-the-art lectures will highlight emerging trends and developing technology currently utilized in clinical practice. Each module will be highlighted by hands-on, interactive experiences on personal laptop computer workstations with review of actual cases, from the teaching libraries developed by Mayo Clinic Radiology and GI Departments. Group and individual review of cases will be led by the faculty. Scientific sessions offered the first two days of the course will highlight ongoing research in Crohn’s disease imaging, integration of imaging into management and treatment decisions, enteroclysis technique, MR pulse sequences, and CT dose reduction and image quality.
