This course updates physicians practicing in gastroenterology and hepatology and other health care providers on new approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Faculty present data on multiple topics, including general GI, nutrition and motility, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, general hepatology, liver transplantation, endoscopy and pancreaticobiliary disorders. In addition, two optional educational activities are offered. A review course to help GI physicians prepare for board recertification is held Thursday afternoon. On Saturday afternoon, new endoscopic techniques are featured at a hands-on endoscopy workshop using state-of-the-art technology.
