Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
EUS Summit:
- Establish the T, N and M stages for luminal tumors and pancreatic cancer
- Differentiate the various types of cystic pancreatic tumors
- Identify the utility of EUS for evaluating patients with chronic pancreatitis
- Differentiate the various subepithelial mass lesions
- Recognize the technical aspects and role of interventional EUS procedures
- Demonstrate proper technique for EUS guided biopsy (cytology and histology)
Principles and Pearls in Pancreatology:
- Discuss the art of clinical decision making in pancreatic disease
- Review the basics of pancreas imaging (CT and MRI) and its role in diseases
- Review pancreatic pathology and how it correlates with clinical presentation
- Identify the appropriate use of endoscopic and non-endoscopic approaches to diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic diseases
- Discuss the indications and techniques of surgical management of pancreatic diseases
