The Arizona campus of the Mayo School of Continuous Professional Development offers a quarterly symposium, titled Prehospital Cardiovascular, Stroke and Critical Care Updates. This course is a one-day intensive program designed to provide current EMS case studies of STEMI, stroke, resuscitation, special topics and infrequent skills/calls.
The program, intended for paramedics, is a forum for providers of all levels to interact and provide a conduit for strengthening the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process. The course involves six different sessions throughout the day, including lecture, skills and observation. The content of these sessions applies toward mandatory and flexible core content.
