The Heart Beat of Cardiology: From Stethoscope to Echoscope

The Heart Beat of Cardiology is a premier educational venue for echocardiography in clinical practice. The program is designed to accommodate the evolving needs of inquisitive attendees.
Topics covered will include fundamentals of cardiovascular ultrasound, basic and advanced hemodynamics, 3-D echocardiography, endocardial/pericardial disease, ischemic heart disease, vascular health, contrast, heart failure, dyssynchrony, CRT, diastolic function, new technologies, and valvular heart disease. At no additional charge, special workshops are available on focused topics of interest to the general as well as specialty participants.
Unique Features: Audience response system to enhance immediate feedback. Easy access to faculty members. Workshops which encourage one-on-one interaction. Efforts will be made to introduce the clinical applications using new technology, however, there is no hands-on experience provided. Self-assessment questions to gauge outcome. Detailed syllabus materials will be provided.

2009 CME Education Obesity Series for Primary Care Physicians

This 2009 CME Education Series will provide a multi-specialty approach to caring for the patient with breast (April 4) and prostate cancer (Oct. 17), offer the latest medical and surgical options for the obese patient (Dec. 12), and provide the most recent information in preventive medicine (Feb 6, 2010). Held on the Mayo Clinic Florida campus in Jacksonville, attendees will have the option to tour the new Mayo Clinic Hospital.
