The Heart Beat of Cardiology is a premier educational venue for echocardiography in clinical practice. This course is held collaboratively with the University of Chicago Medical Center. The program is designed to accommodate the evolving needs of inquisitive attendees. Topics covered include basic and advanced hemodynamics, 3-D echocardiography, endocardial and pericardial disease, ischemic heart disease, vascular health, contrast, heart failure, diastolic function, new technologies, and valvular heart disease. Unique features of the course include an audience response system to enhance immediate feedback, easy access to faculty members and one-on-one interaction.
