This education program will provide practicing physicians and other healthcare staff with in-depth discussion and case-based learning of various aspects of coronary artery disease. Preventive cardiology topics will include a discussion and debate on the latest and controversial recommendations for treatment of hyperlipidemia as well as the growing controversy on E-cigarettes, diet and lifestyle, and interpretation of JNC8. Throughout the program multiple challenging cases of acute coronary syndrome and revascularization dilemmas will be presented offering real life examples to improve patient outcomes supported by state-of-the-art lectures to highlight acute myocardial infarction, sleep apnea in ischemic heart disease, cell therapy and myocardial viability. Expert faculty will focus on discussion of patients with kidney disease and cardiovascular disease providing clinically relevant information. A mini symposium will review the radial approach to angiography and intervention as an alternative to the femoral approach. Discussions will highlight best practice for optimal patient outcomes.
