In review of our course cardiology CME live courses and their content, it was evident that we continue to need a course that focuses on the clinical, everyday challenges that our regional cardiologist face. The fact that there is a gap between the use of current guidelines and new procedures/treatments available, as seen in our survey data and research, proves that this course is beneficial to both cardiologists and patient outcomes. For this particular type of content, the planning committee felt that a case-based lecture format would be the preferred format and the most applicable to the attendee’s day-to-day practice.
