Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Identify and quantitate valvular heart disease severity, apply current guidelines, and use the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) standard for quantification
- Apply conventional and tissue Doppler techniques to diastolic function analysis
- Interpret stress echocardiographic examinations
- Identify and differentiate features of cardiac tamponade, constrictive pericarditis, and restrictive cardiomyopathy
- Evaluate application of contrast echocardiography such as myocardial contrast echocardiography, pitfalls associated with contrast, and avoiding them in daily practice
