Chichén Itza Light & Sound Show
Chichén Itza is one of the greatest remnants of the Mayan civilization from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and was voted as a Wonder of the World, joining ranks with the Great Pyramid of Egypt and the Taj Mahal. It is two cities: One was ruled by the Mayans from the 6th to the 10th century A.D., and the other was a Toltec-Mayan city that emerged in 1000 A.D.
The site combines Toltec and Mayan influences and is fully of cosmological symbolism. Its four sides contain 365 steps, 52 panels and 18 terraces (for the 18 months of the religious year).
The site also contains a cenote (limestone sacred well or sinkhole) and an observatory. The tour includes a lunch buffet at Mayaland Restaurant and a light and sound show!
Feel the wind as you navigate the lagoon in our sporty Thunder four stroke outboards and explore the mangrove channels with a friend. Stop for snorkeling at Cancun’s National Marine Park to admire the multicolored fish and delicate coral formations. Jungle tour lasts 2-2.5 hours and includes: life jackets, all snorkeling gear, bottled water, lockers, and tour guide. Departure schedules will be posted at the Hospitality Desk during the week. Two passengers per boat. Reservations are required.
