Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize and appropriately evaluate patients with suspected HFpEF;
- Identify normal and abnormal ventricular function using resting and exercise hemodynamic variables;
- Differentiate constrictive pericarditis, restrictive cardiomyopathy, and other causes of elevated diastolic filling pressures and early rapid ventricular filling;
- Identify the appropriate approach to the invasive evaluation of pulmonary hypertension;
- Identify the appropriate approach to the invasive evaluation of aortic valve disease; and
- Recognize when invasive evaluation of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is needed.
